JANUARY 4 LIVE WOVEN EARRING CLASS
[ PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION ]
If you’re someone who has been making earrings for some time, but you’re looking for some advanced techniques to incorporate into your style, this might be the class for you! As a jewelry maker of over four years now, I’ve been holding classes teaching those who are interested in wanting to learn from the skills I’ve developed in the countless of hours I have put into my craft! Many people ask me about my design process: what gauges of wire I use, how long to cut the wire for my frames, how to make those perfect swirls and loops— so for this class, I will be showing you all those small details, while walking you through one of my more advanced earring designs. Please note that I am *NOT* showing you how to make the BOTH earrings, I will be showing you how I make ONE complete earring. Two hours would not be enough time to make both earrings to completion slow enough for you to all follow along, and my hope is that you will be able to finish the other earring on your own after class!😊
I will be explaining the entire process of the earring design as I make them along with you in the video: from what gauge wire I use and why, how long of wire I intuitively determine to cut (though I am not measuring any of it as you know!), why it’s important to hammer the wire especially when making earrings, and addressing what people ask me the most about.. how do I make them so similar/alike? We will also be weaving in crystal beads throughout the earring design as well as weaving our frames together, we will add a bead into the earring hook, and together we will make one complete cohesive piece!😆 This is going to be a space where you can feel free to ask me any questions you may have regarding these earrings or anything at all, as I want this to be a personal learning experience for all of us to connect with our community of wanting to learn and share a common love for crafting :)
I am keeping the space limited to only 10 students to make sure that we have a personal environment for each person to ask questions and talk to each other and me freely! There are no refunds for this reserved spot as that would be unfair to someone who would have wanted to have your spot, and you must be able to join through Zoom as this is an online class!
We will be meeting from 1 PM to 3:00 PM Central/Chicago time, so *PLEASE* make sure that you are not only able to attend, but you accommodate for your *time zone difference* !! I have had one or two people in EVERY class miss the meeting or join an hour late or early because they incorrectly aligned their time, so please please double check to make sure you have it set accordingly! The class will be fully recorded and sent to you to keep for you to rewatch and play back at your own leisure once it’s over, typically either same day or next day as the video must be processed by my computer first.
Please note a few things before purchasing this reservation:
1. When you purchase this item, you will receive an email from me with the supply + tool list attached as well as the link for the video to meet on that date. This is NOT an automatically sent email, it is me manually sending one, so if you are waiting a little longer, trust that I received your payment and will be sending it ASAP. Please provide a working and correct email address and please CHECK SPAM! If you do not receive anything from me in a few days, please don’t hesitate to follow up and email me because often times my emails end up in junk mail!
2. There are no refunds. Unfortunately there would be no way for me to find a reason to give you your money back as this is not a physical returnable item. If you have issues opening the zoom video or if you have any questions I’d be happy to help, just email me and we can figure it out together.
3. I am not someone who has the complete understanding of wire wrapping. This field is huge, and it would be almost impossible to know everything! If you’re familiar with my work, you’ll be able to see what my expertise and knowledge encompasses, but there are many artists I admire and have no clue what gauges they are using! Before purchasing, I recommend you check out my work and see if it is a style that resonates with you, and then determine if what I teach you here is what you’d like to learn for your own purposes.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to email me with any additional information you’d like about the class :)
