FAQ

Here are the most frequently asked questions I receive about my work, shipping, returns, etc.

• How much is shipping?

Shipping in the states is $6, and shipping out of the country is $23

• How do customs work?

Custom orders are done by reaching out to me through my "Contact + Request a Custom" page! There you may email me with whatever request you may have, any questions you have on any of my products, any piece you'd like re-made or altered in any way. I typically reply within one or two days, depending on how busy I am with current orders or just life in general! But to get a direct and clear answer, please reach out with no hesitation! Please note, many times I have been told my emails go to spam/junk, so if you're awaiting an email from me, please check those folders.

• What are my pieces made of?

My pieces are made using three different types of metals, including copper, brass, and sterling silver. All of my wire is bought from Rio Grande, which are all high quality wires made without nickel and said to be hypoallergenic.

My copper wire is said to be made using "99.9 percent bare copper" as read on the Rio Grande website. I get asked often if copper wire tarnishes, and the answer is yes because its natural reaction to oxygen and water is to darken. Many artists use a solution to dip their pieces into that immediately tarnishes their pieces, preventing the pieces from continuing their darkening process. I choose not to, as I enjoy seeing the process narturally tarnish. These pieces may be cleaned using jewelry polishing cloths, as well as using "old time" methods such as baking soda or toothpaste.

My brass wire is made of two metals, copper and zinc. I also get asked if this wire will tarnish, and the answer is also yes because of the same reasons as copper, it has a natural tendency to darken.

My sterling silver wire is made of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper wire, as all .925 silver is made of. This is the highest quality metal I work with, which many people have little to no sensitivity to if they are someone who is sensitive to metals. This metal is also the most expensive type I work with, and will have a drastic price difference compared to copper and brass.

• Do I accept returns?

As a small business owner who does everything by hand, I try and make sure every piece of mine is made to the best standard possible. Unfortunately, because of expenses and costs on my end, I do NOT accept returns due to no longer wanting an item. The only way I would accept returns is if there was a fault on my end, such as your piece breaking or the wrong item was sent. If you have any questions on this or would like to reach out to me to discuss your reason for wanting to return, I'm happy to talk to you and decide what the best decision moving forward would be.

• Where do you get your crystals?

I purchase all of my crystals in person at the Denver Gem and Mineral Show. I do not have a sole "supplier" or certain company I purchase from, as I enjoy selecting my crystals in person and getting to see a variety of options. I have heard many people say good things about Etsy and other online sources, and would recommend getting to know the person themselves before ordering from them.
